Event information

The Walk for Animals kicks off at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, at Animal Humane Society's Golden Valley location.

Walk route and location

Walkers will wind their way through beautiful Theodore Wirth Park, turn around at the Golf Chalet, and head back to Animal Humane Society for food, entertainment, and more. The Walk is approximately 2.5 miles, but you can turn around at any time.

For the safety of your dog and others, we highly recommend a 4’ or 6’ flat leash. Retractable leashes are not advised.

We also recommend that small animals like cats, rabbits, and ferrets enjoy the Walk for Animals from the comfort and safety of a carrier or covered stroller.
