Rain or shine, the Walk for Animals kicks off at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, at Animal Humane Society's Golden Valley location.
All animal lovers are welcome at the Walk! Didn't fundraise? No problem, there will plenty of opportunities to make a difference at the Walk with both cash and credit card donations.
Early check-in is the best way to avoid the lines on Saturday! You can get your prizes early, freeing your hands to pet more animals on Saturday. This year, we’re providing an early check-in option at two locations! Early check-in occurs from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, at the following locations:
· Summit Brewery (910 Montreal Circle, St. Paul, MN 55102)
· AHS Golden Valley (845 Meadow Lane, Golden Valley, MN 55422)
Please bring all your cash and check donations, along with a completed donation tracking form. Don’t forget your matching gift forms!
Participants who attend early check-in at either location will be entered for a chance to win a gift from Summit! Participants attending early check-in at the Summit Brewery will also receive a free pint of beer or root beer to enjoy while checking in for the Walk. Summit's patio is dog-friendly, so feel free to bring your four-legged friend along.
Walkers will wind their way through beautiful Theodore Wirth Park, turn around at the Golf Chalet, and head back to Animal Humane Society for food, entertainment, and more. The Walk is approximately 2.5 miles, but you can turn around at any time. View Walk map.
For the safety of your dog and others, we highly recommend a 4’ or 6’ flat leash. Retractable leashes are not advised.
We also recommend that small animals like cats, rabbits, and ferrets enjoy the Walk for Animals from the comfort and safety of a carrier or covered stroller.
Cash and check donations along with a completed donation tracking form

In an effort to reduce waste, please pack your own water in a reusable container. Bottled water will be available for $1 at two H2O stands.
