Hello!
Thank you for visiting my page for the Walk for Animals. I know that there is a lot going on in the world right now, and everyone's life has been impacted. There are so many in need, and that includes countless animals that have also been affected. The Walk for Animals this year will be a virtual event, but I plan on getting out in my neighborhood or somewhere and walking. We all have a lot on our minds and plates, but I hope we can continue to come together and support our furry companions that are also in need. Our shelters and rescues need your assistance now more than ever. I appreciate your consideration and support!
If you know me, you know that I love animals. Our dog and cat are my babies! We adopted our Shih-Tzu, Matty, from a rescue in Iowa, and he is 12 now. He provides daily entertainment. We adopted Frank a few years ago from the AHS in Golden Valley. He is an 9 year old orange tabby, and has been a great addition to the family. We lost our precious Duffy four years ago in March; he was just one month shy of turning 18 yrs old. Chris adopted him from the Golden Valley AHS when Duffy was just six weeks old. We still miss him every day, and honoring his memory is one of the reasons I am walking again this year. As difficult as it has been to lose him, I could not imagine not having him as part of our lives. Our pets have brought us, and continue to bring us, a tremendous amount of joy and we couldn't love them more!
I am very excited to help this worthy cause. This will be my 8th year participating in the walk. The Humane Society takes in thousands of animals every year and relies primarily on donations from people like you and me. Your support will make a difference in the lives of these animals and the families that adopt them. It is very much appreciated!
Thank you!
