If you know me, you know that my love for animals and their well-being is one of my biggest passions.
One way I have acted on this passion is by volunteering and supporting the Animal Humane Society for more than three years. Over the course of those three years, I have logged over 300 hours of service volunteering as a Dog Walker, Dog Habitat Assistant, and as a Foster...
... and in July of 2019, I was lucky enough to join the AHS team as their Community Programs Manager!
My dog Dwight is a perfect example of what the Animal Humane Society can do for animals. Dwight was rescued as a part of a Humane Investigation where over 100 dogs were being neglected and living in terrible conditions. When the Humane Agents arrived, it was suspected that the dogs had been living without food or water for at least two weeks. The dogs that survived came to the Animal Humane Society with every disease most people vaccinate their dogs for, but the Animal Humane Society did not give up and gave them the medical care they needed to live a normal and healthy life.
Every year, more than 20,000 thousand dogs, cats, and critters come to the Animal Humane Society in need of a second chance, just like Dwight. The Animal Humane Society provides these animals with food, shelter, medical care, and a chance at a new beginning. Without the Animal Humane Society I would have never met Dwight and been able to give him the life he deserves.
I hope you’ll partner with me as I participate in this year’s Walk for Animals.
These animals rely on the support of compassionate individuals like us. Every gift makes a difference. Your generosity ensures Animal Humane Society has the resources to care for and protect every animal that comes through their doors. Your gift also helps me get closer to reaching my goal.
Please support me – and the animals – with your donation today. Together, we can make happy new beginnings possible! Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
