Every year, thousands of dogs, cats, and critters come to Animal Humane Society in need of a second chance. Animal Humane Society provides these animals with food, shelter, medical care, and most importantly, the love they deserve.
This is a cause close to my heart as my dog, Piglet was rescued by the Animal Humane Society. On April 9th 2015, Piglet was born in California to a puppy mill. After she was not sold, she was used to breed more puppies at 6 months. Due to poor living conditions and treatment, she and her puppies developed a parasitic skin condition called mange. She was rescued by a local California Shelter and traveled to Minnesota where she recieved treatment and care. The fate of her puppies is not known. She soon recovered. On April 17th 2016, I adopted Piglet. Over time, she has grown into her new life and is now healthy and happy. Piglet would not be alive nor in my life without the Animal Humane Society and California Chihuahua organization.
I hope you’ll partner with me as I participate in this year’s Walk for Animals.
These animals rely on the support of compassionate individuals like us. Every gift makes a difference. Your generosity ensures AHS has the resources to care for and protect every animal that comes through their doors. Your gift also helps me get closer to reaching my goal.
