Every year, Animal Humane Society gives thousands of dogs, cats, and critters a second chance. AHS provides life-changing care, supporting these animals with food, shelter, medical care, and most importantly, with love and the chance to find a forever home.
Echo, my rescue collie, has changed my life for the better in countless ways. And when he got hurt last fall, animal lovers—many of whom I have never met—came to our aid.
They helped Echo get the medical care he needed; provided equipment, labor, and guidance to make the house accessible and safe during his extended rehab; and have supported us every day with words and gestures of care and kindness.
Echo and I want to pay it forward this May by supporting AHS through the Walk for Animals.
Last year a canine influenza outbreak kept all dogs from taking part, so this year we are just that much more eager.
Though Echo is not yet quite back to his pre-injury level of stamina, he is walking well and can safely and happily do the one mile of the Walk. If only he understood that he’ll be walking with lots of other dogs, he’d be unstoppable!
I hope you’ll partner with us as Echo and I participate in this year's Walk for Animals!
Every dollar raised for the Walk ensures AHS has the resources to care for and protect every animal that comes through their doors. Your gift also helps me and Echo get closer to reaching our goal.
Please support us and the animals with your donation today. Together, we can make happy new beginnings possible! Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
