One of my very favorite parts about my job at Animal Humane Society is gathering and writing animal stories.
Through animal's medical/behavioral records, stops into the shelter to say "hello" and give some pets and snuggles, conversations with staff working directly with the animals, and speaking with clients and adopters, I've had the privilege of following some pretty incredible stories.
Cats who came to us in pain have made full recoveries. Dogs who were terrified of people due to neglect gained confidence as they realized they were safe. Animal lovers who could no longer care for their pet experienced relief as they knew that their dog, cat, or critter would be in the best of hands until they found a loving new home. Pets and their families were able to stay together thanks to our surrender prevention services.
Every year, thousands of animals receive the care they deserve at AHS, and hundreds of pet-parents get the support and resources they need to help their pets thrive. So many lives are changed for the better - and that's why I'm beyond proud to work for this organization and to work alongside such incredible, passionate people. That's why I'm Walking for Animals - and why you should, too!
Please join me as I raise money to help change even more lives.
Thanks,
Rachel
