Every year, thousands of dogs, cats, and critters come to Animal Humane Society in need of a second chance. AHS works tirelessly to provide life-changing care and support these animals with food, shelter, medical care, and most importantly, the love they deserve.
This is a cause close to my heart. I found Sam in 2001, brought to AHS after the passing of his owner, and he lived the rest of his 22 years with me. AHS was a safe landing spot for Zoe in 2007, and they got her to MAARS, who was able to better care for large parrots - while I waited out her quarantine period before she could come home. As a very young kitten, Smudge found herself abandoned, sick and infected with bot-fly larva, left alone in the woods of Buffalo, MN. A caring person brought her to AHS in July 2013, where she received the urgent medical care she needed, around the clock bottle feeding by our volunteers, and finally was ready to come home in September of that year. Most recently, I was able to help Bon and Peaches when they found themselves at AHS when their previous people could no longer care for them or their flock mates. I hope you’ll partner with me as I participate in this year's Walk for Animals!
Every dollar raised for the Walk ensures AHS has the resources to care for and protect every animal that comes through their doors - just like Sam, Zoe, Smudge, Bon, and Peaches have. Your gift also helps me get closer to reaching my goal.
Please support me and the animals with your donation today. Together, we can do more for the animals and people who love them! Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
